On July 27, 2020, a ceremony was held in the Moscow metro to launch the operation of the composition called "Folk Crafts", in the design of which the motives of famous domestic folk crafts were used: Khokhloma, Gzhel, Rostov enamel, Orenburg lint and others types of craft. Its launch is timed to the entry into force of the Law on the protection of a new type of Intellectual Property for Russia - Geographical Indication. According to the Head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev: “given that the development of folk art in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation is impossible without the legal protection of regional brands, which are the most important tools for the socio-economic development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation; Rospatent with the support of the Federation Council and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia is implementing various initiatives aimed at promoting a positive image of the country's regions”. The special "Folk Crafts" train will run along the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya metro line for six months.
